Welcome to this week's edition of the Biloxi Junior High Newsletter! We're excited to share the latest happenings and updates from our school community to keep you informed and engaged.

School News and Updates

15 school days remaining this school year!

iPads need to be charged nightly as we continue state testing.

Spring Tryouts are happening now. Check the spreadsheet often, as we are adding events as they are scheduled.

Teacher Appreciation Week for BJH is May 11-15. If your business is interested in sponsoring or providing a meal or goodies for our teachers, please email Rachel Laphand (rachel.laphand@biloxischools.net). We appreciate your support!!!

PTO needs volunteers to take the lead as our current leader moves to BHS next year. If you are interested, please reach out!

Important Reminders

As we continue State Testing, please make sure iPads are charged daily and ready for testing.

Library Books are due back by May 8. Outstanding books or fines will affect exemptions for CTAs!

BJH will have our end of the year POW WOW on May 15. Ineligible Reasons:

(ATTEND) Six or more unexcused absences for Semester 2
(DISC) Placed on Step 5 or higher of discipline ladder for Term 4
(TESTING) Testing issues (attendance, sleeping, disruptive, uncooperative, off task, iPad not charged, not trying)
(CNO) Homebound or CNO

Let’s make sure we’re using our iPads for learning—they’re a great tool to help you succeed in class!

Cell phones may be used during lunch in the cafeteria only. At all other times, please keep them safely stored in your bookbag so we can stay focused and engaged during the school day.

Academic Corner: Let's All Work Hard

Remember, if a student needs extra help, please reach out to the teacher.

Late buses are available for Tuesday/Thursday tutoring. Make sure to turn in your forms if you are staying after school. Last day for late buses--May 14
