Club G.L.O.W. (Girls Leading Our World)

GLOW is a dynamic and uplifting club designed to empower girls to become confident, compassionate, and self-aware leaders. Our mission is to help young women glow from the inside out by focusing on self-love, self-care, and strong, healthy relationships.
Through fun and meaningful activities, open discussions, and real-life guidance, GLOW teaches members how to:
Build unshakable confidence and self-esteem
Communicate clearly and set healthy boundaries in relationships
Practice self-care, personal grooming, and hygiene
Support one another and grow together in a safe, uplifting space

Entomology (BUG) Club
Entomology (it's a bug's life) is the study of insects and their relationship to humans, the environment, and other organisms. Entomologists make great contributions to such diverse fields as agriculture, chemistry, biology, human/animal health, molecular science, criminology, and forensics. Come have fun learning about bugs!!

Environmental Club
Joining the Environmental Club is a fantastic way to positively impact your community with like-minded individuals. You can participate in activities such as beach clean-up, working with Mississippi State professors to cultivate dune and marsh grass, taking a field trip to the Crosby Arboretum for Bug Fest to learn about pollinators, and helping plant and maintain a new garden in the courtyard. We work closely with the Entomology Club to host speakers and our annual Holiday party.

Mathcounts is a fun math competition for Middle schoolers that builds problem-solving skills and teamwork.

Spanish Club
The BJHS Spanish Club promotes awareness, appreciation and understanding of the Spanish speaking cultures and its people. It contributs and encourage the appreciation and respect between students of different backgrounds, cultures and nationalities in our school. The students also had the opportunity to foster new friendly relationships with other students and help them understand diversity through cultural awareness.
With different activities like DIY “Day of the Dead” crafts, Christmas Traditions in Spanish Speaking Countries, salsa lessons, and food preparation, the students experience first hand Latin Traditions and Customs.
