Entomology (BUG) Club

Entomology (it's a bug's life) is the study of insects and their relationship to humans, the environment, and other organisms. Entomologists make great contributions to such diverse fields as agriculture, chemistry, biology, human/animal health, molecular science, criminology, and forensics. Come have fun learning about bugs!!

Environmental Club

Joining the Environmental Club is a fantastic way to positively impact your community with like-minded individuals. You can participate in activities such as beach clean-up, working with Mississippi State professors to cultivate dune and marsh grass, taking a field trip to the Crosby Arboretum for Bug Fest to learn about pollinators, and helping plant and maintain a new garden in the courtyard. We work closely with the Entomology Club to host speakers and our annual Holiday party.

Kindness Club

The Kindness Club is open to all students who have an interest in bettering their school campus through kind and considerate initiatives. Throughout the year, the Kindness Club organizes campus cleanups, sidewalk messages of encouragement, compliment clips, letters of appreciation, and other ways to improve the school environment. This club is intended for students who have a kind heart, positive attitude, and truly wish to serve others.

Math Counts

Math Counts students will learn advanced math concepts, preparing them to compete in math competitions against other school's in the region, the state, and even nationally.  Math Team Tryouts will be held Monday August 26th 3:15-5:00 p.m.  You'll need a permission slip from Ms. Poulin in room 219 turned in by Friday August 23rd.

Multicultural Club

Do you wish you could travel around the world? Do you love learning about different cultures and traditions? Then, sign up for the Multicultural Club! We will explore a different country every meeting and learn about their history, art, holidays, landmarks, and food.

Peer2Peer 

Peer 2 Peer is a student led group that focuses on welcoming new students by introducing them to our campus and community. We strive to make everyone at BJH feel like they belong and that we are one team.

Photography Club

Photography is much more than just having a camera and taking pictures. Students in this club have opportunities to hone their skills by understanding and learning about what makes a good photograph, from composition to artistic expression. In addition, members of this club will learn how to edit and enhance photographs. Students are encouraged to practice their skills while photographing school related activities and sporting events. All levels of experience are welcome and encouraged to explore this exciting side of the visual arts.

Pickle Ball Club

Join other students who have an interest in learning the most popular sport today. Learn the fundamentals and participate in competitive games.

 


Spanish Club

The BJHS Spanish Club promotes awareness, appreciation and understanding of the Spanish speaking cultures and its people. It contributs and encourage the appreciation and respect between students of different backgrounds, cultures and nationalities in our school. The students also had the opportunity to foster new friendly relationships with other students and help them understand diversity through cultural awareness.

With different activities like DIY “Day of the Dead” crafts, Christmas Traditions in Spanish Speaking Countries, salsa lessons, and food preparation, the students experience first hand Latin Traditions and Customs.

Student Council (Elected)

We, the students of Biloxi Junior High, in order to establish a representative voice in school affairs, to coordinate student activities, to promote school spirit, to maintain the good standing of our school, to encourage harmony between students and faculty, to foster high ideals and scholarship, and to demonstrate good citizenship in our school, our community, our state and our nation, do hereby establish this organization. The Student Council is extremely active during the school year. We will have meetings regularly once a month after school.

Technology Student Association (TSA) - Current or previous Cyber I or Cyber II students 

Mission Statement

The Technology Student Association (TSA) enhances personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), whereby members apply and integrate these concepts through intracurricular activities, competitions, and related programs.  TSA members should prepare to compete in events at the Southern District Conference in February. TSA will participate in at least one community service project.
