Welcome to this week's edition of the Biloxi Junior High Newsletter! We're excited to share the latest happenings and updates from our school community to keep you informed and engaged.

School News and Updates


  • BPS District Title 1 Family & Community Meeting will be held on April 30 from 5-6pm at BUE. Please join us!

  • Spring Tryouts are happening now. Check the spreadsheet often, as we are adding events as they are scheduled.

  • Teacher Appreciation Week for BJH is May 11-15. If your business is interested in sponsoring or providing a meal or goodies for our teachers, please email Rachel Laphand (rachel.laphand@biloxischools.net). We appreciate your support!!!

  • Please make sure we have your correct phone number on file. Call the front office to check if needed.

  • PTO needs volunteers to work the PBIS breaks and school dances. Please click on the link to sign up: PBIS Breaks Sign Up. We will also need volunteers to take the lead as our current leader moves to BHS next year.

Important Reminders

  • As we approach State Testing, please make sure iPads are charged daily and ready for testing.

  • Let’s make sure we’re using our iPads for learning—they’re a great tool to help you succeed in class!

  • Cell phones may be used during lunch in the cafeteria only. At all other times, please keep them safely stored in your bookbag so we can stay focused and engaged during the school day.
 

Academic Corner: Let's All Work Hard

  • Remember, if a student needs extra help, please reach out to the teacher.

  • Late buses are available for Tuesday/Thursday tutoring. Make sure to turn in your forms if you are staying after school.

  • Struggling in a class? Make sure your teacher knows!
