Welcome to this week's edition of the Biloxi Junior High Newsletter! We're excited to share the latest happenings and updates from our school community to keep you informed and engaged.

School News and Updates

  • StuCo will host a Movie Night Under the Stars on Friday, Nov. 14. Students who qualify can purchase a "ticket" to attend. Bring your chair/blanket to sit on and enjoy a movie in the courtyard. PTO will have a concession stand and StuCo will have popcorn! Tickets are $5 and are available during all 3 lunches beginning Monday. There will be door prizes for students who bring in canned goods.

  • PTO needs volunteers to work the PBIS breaks, movie night, and school dances. Please click on the link to sign up: PBIS Breaks Sign Up

  • We are excited to see many improvements being made on campus with the addition to new signage and window decals to provide more safety and security to our campus. It looks fabulous!

Important Reminders

  • As the weather starts to cool down, please remember to dress warmly in school-appropriate clothing. Blankets should be left at home, and hoods must be down while on campus so we can easily recognize everyone’s smiling faces. Ski masks or face coverings are not permitted.

  • Let’s make sure we’re using our iPads for learning—they’re a great tool to help you succeed in class!

  • Cell phones may be used during lunch in the cafeteria only. At all other times, please keep them safely stored in your bookbag so we can stay focused and engaged during the school day.

 

Academic Corner: Let's All Work Hard

  • Remember, if a student needs extra help, please reach out to the teacher.

  • Late buses are available for Tuesday/Thursday tutoring. Make sure to turn in your forms if you are staying after school.

  • Struggling in a class? Make sure your teacher knows!
