April is the Month of the Military Child, and Biloxi Junior High proudly honored the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of our military-connected students. Throughout the month, each hallway and wing was creatively decorated to represent the different branches of the U.S. military. Students participated in Spirit Week dress-up days and answered military-themed trivia during lunch for sweet rewards.
Why purple? Purple symbolizes all branches of the military united as one, and the dandelion—able to bloom wherever the wind takes it—represents our military children who thrive wherever they are planted.
On Wednesday, April 16th, BJH hosted a special Purple-Up Day celebration with a Military Family Breakfast to recognize our military-dependent students.
A huge thank you goes out to Mrs. Crider, sponsor of the Peer2Peer Club, for planning and preparing the month’s activities. Mrs. Crider gives over 100% with a smile every step of the way!
