Math Team Wins Big at MathCounts Regionals

The math team competed in the regional MathCounts competition and won first place in the team round!  Sebastian Slaydon, Vicky Chen, Phillip Bui and Travis Britton will represent Biloxi Junior High School in March at the state level competition!

In addition, three other Biloxi students had top 4 highest individual scores and will also be competing at the state level competition in March: Noah Murphy, Paxton Sengsiry, and Emily Bullard. 

If that wasn’t enough, Sebastian Slaydon (the top scoring individual overall) competed in the Countdown round, head to head against the other Gulf Coast schools, and won first place as well!

Congratulations to the entire math team for their dedication and commitment to advanced mathematics, and we look forward to seeing them compete at State!
